COVID-19 prevention and health measures
As the pandemic situation in Poland is looking more optimistic and the vaccination rates are increasing with each day, we are planning the 31st Annual Conference of the Polish Society for Biomaterials as a face-to-face event to be held 13-16 October 2022 in Rytro, Poland. As Organizers, we will follow all of the government guidelines and ensure that all of the safety measures are in place. We are of course acting in a dynamic environment and will have to adapt to any and all of the changes imposed.
For now, conferences in Poland are allowed with a limited number of participants. However, fully vaccinated people might not be included in the limit. Hence, we will be asking each registering participant to provide voluntary information whether she/he is or will be prior to the conference counted as a 'fully vaccinated' (according to CDC: "people are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19 ≥2 weeks after they have received the second dose in a 2-dose series, or ≥2 weeks after they have received a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson [J&J]/Janssen)"). Please be also advised that in general, the CDC recommends that only fully vaccinated people should be traveling at all.
Following current (as of February 2022) recommendations (may be modified in October), all conference participants are advised to:
- wear a mask that covers nose and mouth in all of the common spaces in the hotel,
- keep a safe distance of at least 2 meters apart from others,
- frequently wash their hands,
and
- get a COVID-19 vaccine to protect themselves and the people around them.
